Christmas in July "Red Kettle Run"

Please join us on Friday July 16, 2021 for the innaugural Christmas in July "Red Kettle Run" being brought to you by the Salvation Army of Niagara Falls. We will be offering both 5K and 10K options that feature beautiful and scenic views of the upper Niagara River. Both courses are USATF certified! START/FINISH
Both races will start and finish at LaSalle Waterfront Park using the  USATF certified course maps shown below. We will have two water stations setup near the 5K and 10K turnarounds. Restrooms will be available at the park for your use. We will also place a portable toilet on the course at the 10K turnaround.

REGISTRATION
Online registration will remain open right up until the start of each race or until sold out. There will be no paper applications accepted after July 9, 2021. All participants who register by 7/12/21 at 9am are guaranteed to receive an official Red Kettle Run shirt in their desired size. We will order a limited quantity of extra shirts in a variety of sizes that will be made available during checkout on a first-come, first-serve basis until they are gone. In addition, the first 400 people to register will receive a custom Red Kettle Run finisher medal!

VIRTUAL OPTION
Can't make the race... Participate virtually! Simply sign up for the Virtual Race option and you get to choose the location and time to get out on your own and run/walk your 5K or 10K during the month of July. Feel free to use the FREE IYR Virtual App to track and score your run. You will also be able to manually enter your finish time directly to the IYR Results Page starting on 7/1/21 and ending on 7/31/21.


Mail-in Registration Option
If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download the race waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail the waiver to the address shown with your check payable to iRunWNY. Paper applications must be received by 7-9-21.

Beautiful & Scenic Course Along the Upper Niagara River

PACKET PICKUP
We will have a large concession trailer setup in front of the Salvation Army located at 7018 Buffalo Ave Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Participants are required to wear a mask and stay socially distant at all times. Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before the race to allow enough time for parking, packet pickup, restroom break, and the short 3 minute walk to the start line.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers in each race. There will be no formal awards ceremony during Covid, however all participants can download custom finisher certificates from the event page and view/share finish line photos following the race!


14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69. 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85 and older.

PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking available at the Salvation Army with additional grass parking available at LaSalle Vineyards & Community Garden located on the corner of 71st Street and Buffalo Avenue. Both parking areas are a short 5 minute walk from the start/finish line. Additional parking available on area side streets if needed.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, permit issues, etc) we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event date if needed OR convert this to a virtual event. If we convert it to a virtual race, runners will have the option to run on their own during a designated window of time and submit their finish time as instructed. Additional information will be presented should we be forced to hold a virtual race. There will be no refunds.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
